Description

Roman column with richly decorated Corinthian capital

The foot of this column shows as main stylistic element a circulating frieze with female positions in different positions and accomplishments. Kanneluren take up the middle part of this beam support. A typical Corinthian column capitulum of an acanthus leaf cup with rising tendrils rolling towards the corners forms the conclusion.

The total height of the column is 69 cm, whereby the foot end has 19.5 cm on all four sides, i.e. is square. The support plate at the top is 19 cm at the widest point and 15 cm on the tapered sides.

The design of the column was inspired by antique models.
