Bronze horse
from the so-called geometric period, the first epoch of Greek art, about 1,000 - 700 B. C., named after the predominant ornamental motifs of the painted vases.
Kokett raises the horse's head and looks at his surroundings in a challenging way. It is decorated with typical geometric ornaments from the art era.
The patina of the bronze horse was caused by chemical oxidation.
Exhibit in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
